Description

See https://github.com/kivikakk/comrak/issues/111 -- the string A***B*C* doesn't roundtrip correctly. It's not exactly well-formed, but ideally we should be consistent.

Research direction

Start by reading the linked comrak issue and locating cmark's emphasis and delimiter parsing behavior for A***B*C*. Reproduce the reported roundtrip failure with the exact string, compare the rendered and reparsed output, and confirm that the result is consistent for this malformed-but-accepted input.
