Description

As Bluetooth LE was released in 2012 and at least for mobile devices is generally supported across the board (devices less likely to support it are those on the very low end, which are unlikely to be certified), is it really necessary to separate BR/EDR from LE as far as this requirement goes?

The recommendation would be to move LE out with BR/EDR and leave the selection to "no other connections" or do something similar for any other requirements where this is separated.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is identified in the issue. Review the wording of FPT_BLT_EXT.1 and the related BR/EDR and LE selections, then determine whether LE should be grouped with BR/EDR and whether the same separation occurs in other requirements; done means the specification change is agreed and consistently applied.
