Description

  • Add outputEval to WorkflowOutputParameter
  • in WorkflowOutputParameter.outputEval, CWL Expressions / CWL Parameter references would also gain a outputs object that contains all the pre-outputEval values, just like inputs is available in WorkflowStepInput
  • implement in cwltool
  • conformance tests galore

See https://github.com/common-workflow-language/cwl-v1.3/issues/19 for motivation

Research direction

Start with the WorkflowOutputParameter specification link and the related cwl-v1.3 issue for motivation. Then inspect cwltool and its conformance-test suite to determine the affected entry points. Done requires agreement on the outputEval and outputs semantics, cwltool support, and comprehensive conformance coverage.
