add info dialogs

There's probably some more places to add them, but let's start with:
- [x] make public button
- [x] preserve button
- [ ] each log type button? might be a bit much there

For the button itself, I'm thinking something like this:

Start by locating the make public and preserve buttons and checking whether the interface already has an info-dialog pattern. Determine the intended dialog content from the surrounding UI, then decide whether each log type button should also receive one. Done means the selected buttons expose the agreed information dialogs and the log-button scope is resolved.
