Reformatting of code to follow a standard format

I'd like to reformat the code if possible, to remove all unused references and format things so it's using a standard instead of massive whitespace in certain locations, xml files with inconsistent spacing, etc.

However, it'll be reformatting a large portion of the code it appears, and this is just using the standard **Ctrl+Alt+F** in Android Studio on the various files. Before I go ahead and clean everything up and submit a huge PR, would this be alright with the maintainers?
