Not sure what's going on, but it seems like typescript is being interpreted as JavaScript in this sandbox: https://codesandbox.io/p/sandbox/github/algolia/instantsearch/tree/master/examples/js/e-commerce?file=%2Fsrc%2Fsearch.ts
