Cannot open existing project on remote ssh server without starting new & git cloning

Hello

If I want to open a project which I already have cloned on a remote server - I cannot - I must start a new project on the local machine and press the ssh option which would clone (again) on the remote machine

I would like to be able to edit existing projects that are already cloned on a remote machine (ala Cursor remote)
