Automated Tests for Newsfeed

Note: This issue is light on details because the Newsfeed is a new feature under active development - we'll likely have more specifics as we get closer to launch-ready on the Newsfeed.

The exact details here are still a little TBD as this is a new feature under active development - automated tests around the feature should be considered a necessary element to going live with the Newsfeed, but there's room for the devs launching the Newsfeed to define what success looks like here (e.g. does this need to be an E2E test, or is an integration/unit test sufficient? What needs to be tested ).
