Description
On Windows 7, geanypy only works if I 'hide' %windir%\ SysWOW64\intl.dll (so forcing the GTK version to be taken?)
I have bracketed the following because its probably my own fault for installing two Microsoft development tools on my pc!
[ On Windows XP, Geany with geanypy enabled gives runtime error R6034 on startup, but after that (and after recovering from Windows' ugly error noise if enabled) I can use geanypy without problems. Found several strands of info on this via Google, most credible of which is that it's a clash between the windows run-time versions. I appear to have Visual Studio 9.0 AND Visual Studio 7 present on the PC.
Running the VS9 bat-file vcvarsall.bat seems to make the geanypy problem disappear!
]
I can supply more 'forensic' info on these issues if required.
I will try installing geanypy on a MSVS-free WinXP system.
When I have more time, perhaps I'll try to generate a fully 64-bits geanypy for Windows 7 system in full 64-bit mode; but perhaps I'd rather someone talked me out of that!
(don't worry; the geany hasn't lost its magic for me!)
