Description

Bug Report:

BUG:
1. Ads are still being shown while a video is playing when I have enabled "only show ads on subscribed channels".

2. Another thing is that I'm not getting the full ad on subscribed channels but just get a quick "flash" of the ad starting.

HOW:

  1. Start a longer video which has ads spread inside it and wait for one to start.
  2. Start videos from a subscribed channels and sometimes a "flash" of the ad appears.

EXPECTED (/preferred) behavior:

  1. Ads should not appear.
  2. The full ad should run.

Setup:

⚬ Browser:
Brave Nightly - Version 1.22.28

⚬ ImprovedTube Version:
ImprovedTube 3.160

⚬ Settings:
Improvetube (ads still running).zip

⚬ OS:
Windows 10 (OS build 19042.804)

⚬ Device:
PC

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is named in the report. First reproduce both cases using the listed ad and subscription settings, then trace the extension's video-player and ad-handling paths. Done means mid-video ads stay hidden when only subscribed-channel ads are enabled, while subscribed-channel ads play fully without a flash.
