Operator versus Helm chart

It appears the Cockroach documentation indicates the Helm chart is scheduled to be deprecated in [this](https://www.cockroachlabs.com/docs/v23.1/orchestrate-a-local-cluster-with-kubernetes#helm-version) section in favor of the cockroach-operator, which I **think** is this repository.

The documents further recommend the operator. However, it appears that as of the time of this writing, there hasn't been a commit to this repository since July 28, 2023 (almost two months ago).

Is this still being maintained? Is the above-mentioned documentation correct?

Thanks much for your help to understand the direction as we'll be in production with CockroachDB in Kubernetes at the end of next month. To date, we've used the Helm chart.
