## Description of the bug
The Show/Hide Typing Indicator option in preferences has two issues.
1. If you hide the indicator and reconnect, when you type you will show the indicator briefly despite having it off. It disappears after roughly five seconds. This will occur until you turn it on and off again.
2. The same issue will occur but inverse, (I believe it might be having the typing indicator off and reconnecting that causes the issue, I've had the typing indicator off for a little over a year and turning it back on lead me to discover this bug) when having your typing indicator on, it will, again, briefly show the indicator before hiding it after roughly five seconds, even if you keep the chat box open. I have not found a bandaid fix for this one; reconnection doesn't work, nor does toggling it off and on.

## What's the difference with what should have happened?
The option should be respected always, despite reconnection.

## How do we reproduce this bug?
1) Turn off the typing indicator
2) Reconnect
3) Enter the chat box and keep it open for 5-10 seconds; witness your character's typing indicator
