Description

Summary

We would like to request the creation of a new repository under the cloudfoundry organization: cloudfoundry/bosh-gdc-stemcell-builder.

This repository will host the official Cloud Foundry BOSH STEMCELL builder release for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) air-gapped infrastructure.

Working Group
  • Working Group: BOSH / Foundational Infrastructure Working Group
  • WG Leads / Sponsors: Gowrisankar Marichetty (@gowrisankar22)
Repository Details
  • Proposed Repository Name: bosh-gdc-stemcell-builder
  • Organization: cloudfoundry
  • Visibility: Public
  • License: Apache 2.0
  • Initial Maintainers / Approvers: @dilipkumar2k6(Google), @ajlfleos(Google), @sanjay-nagarur(Google), @gowrisankar22(SAP)
Purpose & Context

This is a joint open-source initiative between Google and SAP to support our GDC air-gapped production rollout. Releasing this stemcell builder under the Cloud Foundry organization allows BOSH and Cloud Foundry workloads to be compiled, deployed, and managed natively on GDC air-gapped hardware.

Initial development was conducted internally, and we are ready to move active development and maintenance upstream directly under Cloud Foundry.
