Description

I would like to be able to make arbitrary changes to my database's schema without needing to delete all the data. I would like to be able to write module code to migrate the data from the old schema to the new one.

Requested by @cloutiertyler via the SpacetimeDB site.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Start by mapping the repository's existing schema-change and migration behavior, then define what support for arbitrary schema changes and module-based data migration would require; done means preserving existing data while moving from the old schema to the new one.
