Description

Tyler recently mentioned:

[the SpacetimeDB team is] definitely inspired by Elixir/BEAM. IMC (inter-module communication) is directly inspired by it.

The current list of server modules is:

  • Rust
  • C#

The current list of client SDKs is:

  • Rust
  • C#
  • Typescript

I thought it'd be worth creating a tracking issue for a potential Elixir server module and/or client SDK, potentially with an Ecto adapter or integration?

Research direction

Start with the server modules and client SDK documentation linked in the issue, then review the Elixir and BEAM references and the Ecto adapter documentation. The issue is a tracking proposal covering multiple possible projects; done would require choosing and specifying whether an Elixir server module, client SDK, or Ecto integration is actually in scope.
