leaving the item when a distance is set and reentering it makes the item follow the mouse even when not pressed

Go to the lowest item on the list,
place your cursor somewhere on the lower half of it
drag the cursor outside
upon reentering the list with the cursor the last element will follow the mouse position but with an offset depending on where the cursor reentered.
