Description
[orcid](http://orcid.org/) is a DOI for researchers.
A new extension `ckanext-orcid` could link the user profile to the user's orcid, much like ckanext-doi links datasets to their DOI.
Initially this would strengthen the linkage between the CKAN user's research (orcid) and data publishing (CKAN) activities, and aid attribution.
