Users are not returned to the page they were before when clicking the back button

user clicks in a link that is within a + section in the page when the user tries to go back the +section of the page is closed

Steps to reproduce the behavior
example:
1. Go to a + section in the page
2. Click on a link in that section
3. Click to go back where you were (user is not returned to the +section they were)
4. See error
