## Alternatives to Gitbook for documenting public help guides/tutorials

- Gitbook may have better features on their paid platform that we have not been using so far
### Knack
- Pro - same platform; easy creation of pages and text
- Con - difficult image mgmt + accessibility
### Github
- We would have to host image in GitHub (can’t support videos)
- A read only page to link to from Knack
### SharePoint
- Not usually public-facing but Michelle Ahmad, the new M365 person, seems to consider it more routine
### PDFs
- Pro- easy creation in Word, Excel, or Miro
- Static Content: embedded PDF they can download (Chrispin suggestion)
- Con - clunky maintenance, remediation can be cumbersome with tags and reading order
### Miro
- Pro- easy and fun to create
- Con - accessibility = total wild card?
### Scribe
- We have 1 paid license for it
- Would need to do further research
### Other Possibilities
- Obsidian
- Notion
- Plasmic
- Would Mateo/devs have any suggestions from open source?
### Rethinking the Model
- Better ways to provide the information to specific apps - more embedded/blended model?
