Check registration by driver's license number

I'm working on a mobile app that will help people check if they are registered, know when elections are coming up and viewing the status of their absentee ballot. A potential feature I came up with would be to allow a user to scan the barcode on their license, which has all the info required (license #, birth year/month) to look up their voter registration info.

I will probably take a stab at implementing this later, but just wanted to mark it down as an API request.

Start by reviewing the existing voter-registration lookup API and how it accepts license number and birth date fields. Define the barcode input, privacy and validation requirements, then confirm that a scan can produce the same registration result through the API.
