Description
I don't see any reason why `config --guest-build-dir` shouldn't be able to override the choice of `/var/tmp` inside of the VM.

Research direction
Start by tracing how the `TART_EXECUTOR_HOST_DIR` environment variable and the `config --guest-build-dir` option are handled. Confirm where their values are validated or applied, then reproduce the combination in a GitLab Runner job. Done means the explicit guest-build directory can override `/var/tmp` without breaking the executor's existing host-directory behavior.
