Description

Apologize if this has been submitted before but it'd be a nice feature for when updating chocolatey.extension if it would preserve the preferences set when initially installed. We use "/NoContextMenu" for our clients and if it gets updates automatically (if there is an update to both extension and agent for example) it wipes that out and re-enables the context menus for the end users.

Maybe it'd be just as helpful to have the context menus off by default and if you want them you turn them on? Developers/packagers will/should know how to turn them on whereas users won't know how to turn them off.

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by tracing how chocolatey.extension upgrades handle the /NoContextMenu preference, then determine how extension preferences are stored and whether defaults should change. Done means upgrades preserve the existing preference and the chosen default behavior is documented and tested.
