Description

When installing a zip or web file package, the shim gen should track the shim generated with the package.

so that when people uninstall the package, the shim will be removed efficiently

Research direction

Trace how shim generation is handled when installing zip or web file packages, then follow the corresponding uninstall path. Identify how generated shims are currently discovered and define tracking so uninstall can remove only the shims associated with the package; done means installation records them and uninstallation removes them efficiently.
