Unable to click on post in thread to expand it

**Describe the bug**

I noticed today that I can no longer click in the body of a reply in a thread to expand the reply. Everything else is clickable, as expected (e.g. I can click on the age / visibility link in the top right to access the menu to expand / like / etc. the reply). I am still able to go in the opposite direction: I can click in the body of the parent post seen above the expanded reply to expand that instead.

I have reproduced this on two different computers in Firefox and also in Chrome. The same thing happens on phanpy.social and on dev.phanpy.social. My instance: hachyderm.io.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Click on any post which has a thread of replies
2. Click in the text body of a reply
3. Nothing happens.

**Expected behavior**
When I click in the body of the reply I expect it to be expanded (for the view of the original expanded post to be replaced by the view of the expanded reply).

**Desktop:**
- OS: Ubuntu Focal
- Browser: Firefox (also tested in Chromium)
- Version: Firefox 121; Chromium 120

Start by reproducing the issue on a thread with replies in phanpy.social or dev.phanpy.social, then trace the click handling for a reply body in the frontend. Confirm that clicking a reply expands it as expected while existing post and menu interactions continue to work in Firefox and Chromium.
