### To reproduce

mastodon.social is currently dealing with a DDOS attack, and it looks like their mitigation causes the server to sometimes return a 404 for an arbitrary request.

if the 404 happens in response to me clicking a "Bookmark" button, what happens in phanpy is the Bookmark button turns blue, it looks like it works, but a moment later the button reverts back to gray. (This can also happen with "Like", etc.)

It's easy to miss seeing that it reverted to gray, especially if the network is sluggish and I'm scrolling down a timeline.

the official mastodon.social webapp will show a small "404" toast when this happens, which is probably too cryptic, but it's enough of an indicator for me, and I've switched to using that instead of phanpy while the random 404s are happening.
