easy way to view landscape images on a portrait device

I mostly use Mastodon on mobile, so when someone posts a screenshot of some text, it gets resized down until the text is unreadable. I have to either zoom in and scroll left and right (which is impractical) or rotate the image so its aspect ratio more closely matches the device.

It would be really helpful if there was a button that showed in this situation to rotate the image.
