Description
the CSS in this repo was mostly a super rough pass with an AI tool as a feasibility experiment.
It seems at least approximately correct in terms of the look of the site, but could use some cleaning up and aligning with something closer to the look and feel of the current website (like was done in #18).
This probably shouldn't be done in a single PR, but may be a good source of simple fixes for newcomers familar with the basics of hugo and CSS

Research direction
Start by reviewing the repository's CSS and comparing the current site with the existing WordPress site, using issue #18 as a reference for the intended alignment. Identify one small visual discrepancy that can be handled independently, then confirm the change makes the site look closer to the current website without expanding into the full epic.
