problem when merging identities from different pages

Description
Steps to reproduce:
(1) Search for a user which identities are on different pages
(3) Select some identities on a page from first page and some others from the second page, press Merge
(4) Observe "500 Server Error" messsage
Workaround: increase the number of hits per page until the identities are on the same page and perform the merge
