Description
### Context
File upload is the last component needed to unlock our exemplar 3 market, Grants and Contributions. These forms are used to provide businesses, NGOs, Not-for-profits, and other third-party organizations with funding to delivery government priorities.
They may be for building Canadian heritage through art, small or medium business investments, or even housing.
Given the new mandate from the Prime Minister, we expect that there will be new Gs&Cs programs being stood up to deliver on some key priorities.
### Opportunity
GC Forms could be well positioned to support the priorities of the new Prime Minister that are delivered through Gs&Cs. Further, given the hype cycle around AI, we could use it to help solve a pain point that Gs&Cs programs face to capitalize on this new market we are now able to serve.
There are a few different problems we could solve, which will be listed below. A good solution will have the following qualities:
1. It solves a pain point experienced by the **G&C market**
2. It **saves time** for form builders, program administrators, service owners, or developers.
3. The solution has some additional marketing appeal that makes a - or multiple - user profiles **delight** in using the product.
3. It can be **delivered within the next 5 weeks** without delaying file upload in any way
4. They hypothesis does not introduce a risk of becoming an **effort** sink, requiring end-less tinkering and updates.
### Possible pain points to solve
- How might we expedite the process of taking a PDF form and reproducing it in GC Forms?
- How might we expedite the drafting of a new G&C form?
- How might we provide examples (but not own) of ways to automatically process or reporting on G&C information?
- How might we provide examples (but not own) ways to integrate with a CRM for G&C processing?
### Done when
- [ ] A hypothesis is developed
- [ ] A coded prototype is created
- [ ] The prototype is checked against the numbered list above for market fit, time savings, user delight, timeline, and effort.
- [ ] The prototype is developed for staging, with a strong feedback loop or "beta" tag on it
- [ ] Comms are developed with the file upload feature to launch both at the same time

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Begin by selecting one listed G&C pain point and developing a hypothesis that meets the numbered market-fit, time-saving, delight, timeline, and effort criteria. Done means a coded prototype is staged with feedback or a beta tag, plus launch communications coordinated with file upload.
