Description
### How could the content be improved?
Because Breakout Rooms are an important part of the training, it would be useful to include a few Instructor Notes on how to best set up Breakout Rooms on Zoom for virtual trainings.
For example:
- breakout rooms are especially important to coordinate with one's co-instructor on, since they are often the one setting up the room. Agree on how you'll do some of the following:
- breakouts of more than 3 people are discouraged, because they will increase the time count tremendously - try to split groups of 4 into 2 and 2
- keep a log of who's in what room so that you can return people to the same room if their Internet connection drops (useful for giving feedback in the same group)
- trainers can consider popping into breakout rooms to check how learners are doing, but let them know ahead of time that you're doing this
- remember to tell people how to ask for help if they have a question in breakout rooms (ie they can raise their hand and we can see it in the breakout room and hop to them)
Maybe we have a Zoom guide on general workshops, but it would be nice to have notes for Trainers teaching virtual Instructor Training specifically!
