Issue with French Translations

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the French localization
2. Various shorthands do not work, some translations are not done.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to get the full date form of the shorthand entered, I do not get
anything.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
the latest version, operating system independent.
