Description
I have a [fork](https://github.com/rebeccamccabe/json2latex) of json2latex that adds a feature that would be really handy to have today as I am doing a lot with my json2latex stages ahead of a paper deadline tonight. How can I tell calkit/uv to use my fork (either locally or its git ref) instead of the pypi version? I could do something similar to #662 but wondering if there is an easier way.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the approach referenced in issue #662 and the project’s guidance for configuring package dependencies with calkit and uv. Document how to use a local json2latex checkout or a Git fork/ref instead of the PyPI package, with a working example and clear verification steps.
