UI looks weird

This is how the program opens the very first time I run it:

That's too small a window to fit what it needs to show, obviously. So maybe make the window a bit bigger by default. Making it bigger leaves it like this:

Maybe the UI isn't the focal point for a program like this, which is fair, but I don't think this is intended. At least text labels shouldn't be cut off, right?

Reproduce the first-launch window on Windows 11 and inspect how the initial window size and UI layout are selected. Done means the default window provides enough space for the interface and text labels are not cut off at the reported sizes.
