Description
Hi,
I'm not even sure if it's supposed to work via Flyoobe, but I tried updating from Win11 to a newer version of itself.
Specifically from Win11 23H2 to Win11 24H2 since it seems that I'm not offered the feature update through the windows updater. Which is probably because I updated long ago via Rufus to bypass the requirements.
Steps done:
1) Open Flyoobe and choose "Upgrade (Done)" since I'm already on Win11 and want to feature update it.
2) Click the "Select option" dropdown and choose " Select ISO from local computer".
3) Select the ISO file => in my case it's "Win11_24H2_Dutch_x64.iso" downloaded via the Media creation tool like a month ago.
4) Checks are OK
5) Powershell popup - I click yes to allow it.
6) Powershell opens for a few seconds and closes.
7) Flyoobe alert/popup: Windows 11 installation can now proceed. Please follow the instructions in the setup window.
8) Wait... Nothing happens. I've waited for over 30min but no setup window ever comes up.
The ISO is mounted however.
I've had the same thing earlier with Rufus, it just never seems to actually boot into the setup window.
Good info:
- I do have a TPM module
- CPU supports the POPCNT instructions (checked with flyby11 also).
- The CPU generation is the requirement I do NOT have => i7-7700HQ, which seems to be one generation too old for Microsoft.
Do I miss some info to provide or does the application save any logs? Let me know.
Would be great to know why I was able to bypass the Win11 restrictions long ago but not for an upgrade to 24H2 now.
Kind regards,
Arne
