Qto_SpaceBaseQuantities description gross floor area doesn't make sense

The description for GrossFloorArea states : ... Includes the area covered by elements inside the space (columns, inner walls, etc.) **and excludes the area covered by wall claddings.**
It doesn't seem to make sense to exclude wall claddings for a floor area?
Also in German the description reads : Gesamte Bodenfläche eines Raumes, unabhängig von der Raumhöhe. **Öffnungen im Boden werden nicht abgezogen.** --> This makes more sense, namely that openings in the floor are not subtracted.
