editing very long words does not work

they do not get wrapped, so you have to scroll to the right, which makes the component go out of the view so no changes are accepted

Start by reproducing the editing failure with a very long unbroken word in the transcription interface. The issue names no file, entry point, or test, so locate the component responsible for transcription editing first; done means long words wrap without moving the component out of view and edits are accepted.
