Description

I would like to know if there are any plans to introduce local real-time synchronization across the devices using p2p connections like Bluetooth/wifi-direct rather than cloud-based syncing.

- This will help us increase the frequency of updates without overloading the sync server

- Better control over privacy as everything happens directly via the clients

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by clarifying whether local Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct synchronization is intended, which clients and platforms are in scope, and how it should coexist with cloud sync. Done would require an agreed design, implementation scope, and acceptance criteria.
