Description

While setting up howdy using "sudo apt install Howdy, how is able to enable the IR on my laptop. And this is after like seven tries. But whenever I do "sudo howdy test", the IR emitters glow up for one second and shut down. Any way I can probably run this is verbose mode to see the path it uses? Wanted to get this issue fixed.

Laptop: X1 Yoga gen 3

Research direction

Start by reproducing the one-second IR-emitter behavior with `sudo howdy test` on the reported X1 Yoga Gen 3 and Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.1 setup, then inspect how the command exposes its camera path or diagnostic output. Done means the failure is narrowed to a reproducible cause and the issue includes a verified fix or a clear diagnostic result.
