Description

When opening the browser from a jupyter notebook, the only option shown is "create this folder". If I open the file with the regular text editor instead of the jupyter notebook integration, everything works fine. I'm guessing the browser is picking up a bad (non existing) directory for the opened file. I'm not sure if this is a bug in this plugin or the jupyter plugin.

File browser version: v0.2.11
Jupyter plugin version: v2023.7.1002162226

Research direction

Reproduce the issue using file browser v0.2.11 and Jupyter plugin v2023.7.1002162226, comparing a file opened through the Jupyter notebook integration with the regular text editor. Determine whether the invalid directory comes from this extension or the Jupyter plugin; done means the browser shows the opened file's contents or location instead of only “create this folder”.
