Description

the telescopes on-site are allegedly remote-controlled via UNC's SkyNet software. MDRS may be down at the moment, but link https://www.skynet.unc.edu/sites/view?id=29 . Wondering if there is useful telemetry data we could collect and integrate - such as temperature, humidity, air quality, maybe even eventually seismic data. All relevant for astrophotography quality.

Research direction

Begin by checking whether the SkyNet site is available and reviewing the EVALink service's existing integration entry points. Confirm which telemetry SkyNet exposes, which measurements are useful for astrophotography, and define a concrete collection target and acceptance criteria before implementation.
