It tells you how to create a module but not how to use it

I can't see in this documentation how to use the module once it has been registered. It would be great to see an example where from, for example, a custom validator, you use that module and also and example of how to use one of these modules from the site webapp (let's say from a bean of the resource api/ delivery api/ page model api) if that is possible.
