Description

Environment

- Buzz Desktop: v0.5.5
- macOS: 15.6.1
- Hardware: Apple M4 Mac mini
- Hermes Agent: 0.17.0
- Runtime: hermes-acp
- buzz-acp: current bundled version

Description

Hermes starts correctly and is detected as Ready by Buzz.

The ACP session initializes successfully and the agent receives prompts.

The model generates a normal response and the conversation finishes with:

Turn ended: reason=text_response(finish_reason=stop)

However, the response is never published into the DM conversation.

Instead, the complete assistant response appears only inside the Activity / Thinking panel.

Expected behavior

The assistant response should appear as a normal chat message inside the DM.

Actual behavior

The response is visible only inside Activity / Thinking and is never rendered as a chat message.

Additional information

- hermes-acp --check returns OK.
- Runtime status is Ready.
- ACP connection is established.
- Relay connection is successful.
- This happens consistently with Hermes and Buzz, all the agents

Research direction

Reproduce the issue using the listed Buzz, macOS, Hermes Agent, hermes-acp, and buzz-acp versions, starting from the ACP session response and its handling in the DM conversation. Compare the response shown in Activity / Thinking with the DM rendering path. Done means the completed assistant response appears as a normal DM message while preserving the existing Activity / Thinking entry.
