Description

I have the paid App Store version of blink and was wondering if there was a way to add into blink the option to stop the keyboard from automatically popping up when switching from another iOS app to an active session in blink.

I mostly use blink to monitor resource utilization with htop and it’s a minor but super annoying gripe whenever I switch to blink and the keyboard pops up, forcing the window to resize which takes a moment, swiping down to dismiss the keyboard, and waiting again for the window to resize.

Also, it would be super helpful to have a hidden but dedicated button to dismiss the keyboard as it is very inconsistent when I’m in a session compiling programs with a constant stream of text being output; more than half the time it just scrolls the terminal up and very often it’ll dismiss it but come right back up.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the iOS session and keyboard presentation or dismissal handling, then verify the requested option prevents automatic keyboard display on app switching and provides a reliable dedicated dismissal control without unwanted terminal scrolling.
