Add option to disable software keyboard completely (for keyboards that connects to multiple devices)

I use a BT keyboard that connects to my MB, my iPad and my phone (Logitech K380 for the reference).

So I'd be coding on my iPad in my VPS, then I'd switch from Vim to tailing logs and I'd press a button to switch the keyboard to connect to my MB instead, so I can do some testing on there. (I'm a web developer, I need to use desktop browsers for testing.)

And since the external keyboard would disconnect from my iPad, the virtual keyboard would pop up.

I don't want that, I want all the screen I can get (I'm tailing logs on there).

At the point when I would want to use a keyboard, I'd just use the switch on my BT keyboard to connect back to the iPad. At no point in my workflow the software keyboard has any use.

So I'd like to propose a feature when it's possible to disable the software keyboard completely.

_I understand that there's a downside, like then there has to be a workflow to re-enable it, in case someone erroneously enables it and doesn't have a HW keyboard, but nevertheless, this really breaks my workflow and I'd imagine I'm not the only one doing something similar._

No files or tests are named in the issue. Reproduce the iPadOS Bluetooth-keyboard disconnect scenario, then inspect the existing software-keyboard settings and behavior; done means an option can keep the virtual keyboard hidden while the hardware keyboard is disconnected, with a recovery path available.
