A number of Bisq contributors will be in attendance at HCPP18, including myself. If you're planning to go, feel free to add a comment saying so.

I've submitted the following abstract for a talk, and am waiting to hear back from the HCPP18 team now:

Decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) are one option, but they cannot simply be declared into existence like corporations; they must be developed over time toward robust decentralization. We launched the Bisq DAO at HCPP17, and in this talk we'll look at progress made and lessons learned over the first year of its operation. We'll explore the software we've built and incentives we've designed to power the Bisq DAO, but just as important, we'll look at the social architecture, collaboration infrastructure, principles and practices we've instituted to ensure the Bisq DAO continues to develop in a meritocratic way toward maximum censorship resistance.
