Description
**What's your use case?**
We already have the "Align widgets to a grid" functionality, which works nice when the workflow is not complicated. However, when there are lots of widgets, it doesn't always make a nice arrangement.
**What's your proposed solution?**
Could you add the possibility to first select several widgets on which the alignment would act on? Then the user could make a nicely aligned complex workflow one subgroup at a time.
**Are there any alternative solutions?**
Not really... Right now I am doing it manually, which is a bit tedious.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the existing “Align widgets to a grid” functionality and its widget-selection handling, then verify the behavior with a workflow containing multiple widget subgroups. Done means selected widgets can be aligned independently without rearranging unselected widgets.
