Description
I have been using Orange for classes since long ago, and the last version running in my laptop was Orange3.37. I uninstalled it, and updated to version 3.40.0. However, it locks the computer as soom as the Orange banner appears and it is needed to turn off and on. I tried to reinstall this and all the former versions/subversions (3.37, 3.38, 3.39, 3.40) and the result, unfortunately, was the same: the computer locks and it is necessary to turn off/on. I have tried several tricks such as "SFC /scannow", but nothing worked. Does anybody has had such kind of problem ? I would appreciate suggestions to solve such a problem.

Research direction
No source file or test is identified. Start by reproducing the lock when the Orange banner appears, comparing versions 3.37 through 3.40, and collecting the laptop's operating-system and hardware details. Done means identifying a reproducible cause and a verified fix or clearly documented compatibility issue.
