Description
Hello Binance Public Data Team,
We are developing TradeTrace, a subscription-based trading journal, historical chart replay, backtesting, analytics, and AI coaching platform.
We currently use the official Binance Spot historical kline archives published through binance-public-data and data.binance.vision.
Our intended use is to:
- download and checksum-verify selected Binance Spot historical kline archives;
- normalize timestamps and candle records;
- store historical data in private cloud object storage;
- generate derived candle intervals;
- display charts and replay sessions to authenticated paying users;
- support historical backtesting and derived analytics;
- use the data as an input to AI-assisted trading analysis;
- allow users to store private chart screenshots and reports;
- prohibit unrestricted raw-data downloads;
- prohibit a public or general-purpose market-data API.
We understand that the binance-public-data repository is published under the MIT License. We would appreciate written clarification about whether the intended commercial SaaS use described above is permitted under the applicable Binance terms.
Could you please confirm:
1. Whether authenticated display to paying users is permitted.
2. Whether long-term historical storage and caching are permitted.
3. Whether derived candle intervals are permitted.
4. Whether to paying users is permitted.
2. Whether long-term historical storage and caching are permitted.
3. Whether derived chart replay and historical backtesting are permitted.
5. Whether derived analytics and AI-assisted analysis are permitted.
6. Whether private screenshots and generated reports may contain Binance-powered charts.
7. Whether attribution is required and, if so, the required wording.
8. Whether unrestricted raw-data exports and public API redistribution must remain disabled.
9. Whether any geographic restrictions apply.
10. Whether a separate commercial agreement is required.
11. Whether stored historical data must be deleted if Binance changes or terminates access.
12. Which official Binance team should handle any additional commercial-data licensing discussion.
TradeTrace will not represent itself as Binance and will not provide unrestricted resale of Binance archive files.
Thank you.
