Description
Currently, attached printer automatically power back on after a power outage, but providing a setting to remain powered off would give users greater control. This change accommodates those who prefer manual restart after outages, optimizing energy use and aligning with individual preferences.
Refine the current automatic power recovery system by adding a smart option that keeps the printer off if it was already powered down before a power outage occurred. This functionality respects users' pre-outage power settings and prevents unintended restarts, especially for those who intentionally turn off their printers when not in use.
Adding this option enhances user satisfaction by offering more personalized power management.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the firmware's power-recovery logic and its handling of the printer's pre-outage state. Done means an option preserves an intentionally powered-off state after an outage while retaining the current automatic recovery behavior otherwise, with tests covering both cases.
