Can't Boot From SD Card

I've been trying to get the Pad 5 working with a CM4 Lite (4GB + WiFi) and just can't seem to get SD booting to work.

I can burn the official image to a USB device and it boots/works (Installed display driver, buttons work, touchscreen, etc).

But when I burn that same image to (several known good) SD cards it just boots to the boot menu and cycles through the options. I says can't find SD card...

I checked the dip switches, they are all to the right, and I've tried both positions of the other switch.

When I boot with SD card it says `Failed to open device: `sdcard` (cmd 371a0010 status 1fff0001)` which from what I can find googling it says it's either bad SD card or reader...But these cards (five different ones) work on several other rpi's and carrier boards so it can't be that.

The Pad 5 does support CM4 Lite right?

I should also mention when I'm at the boot menu it's showing `bootloader: 8ba17717 2023/01/11` which I don't think is the most recent but still sorting out how to fix that.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Start by checking whether Pad 5 supports SD boot with the CM4 Lite configuration described, then compare the USB and SD boot paths and the reported bootloader version. Reproduce the boot-menu cycle with a known-good image and card, recording the dip-switch settings and the exact `Failed to open device: sdcard` message. Done means identifying a confirmed hardware, configuration, or bootloader cause.
